The pop culture topic I've chosen is Amazon prime. I choose this topic because it's something that i use almost everyday in some way shape or form. Amazon prime is also widely used around the world. The three artifacts I've chosen are an amazon fire stick, echo dot, and amazon food market/prime pantry. These three artifacts are very innovative and help brand Amazon prime membership to new and better levels. I’m using an outline for this project. The outline is mainly for rhetorically analyzing these artifacts. It goes something like this, 1. What genre is being shown and how, 2. What rhetorical devices are being used, 3. How do they convey this to the audience, etc. I like this project because you definitely have to think outside the box when analyzing these artifacts. One of my problems during project one is rhetorically analyzing these artifacts. How am i supposed to put a genre on something that is a device or a certain special feature only available to members? Is there an easier way to analyze these artifacts without losing site of the main reason we're analyzing them for?
